Central Park Panoramic Boxed Cards Bruce Davidson was just twenty-five years old when he joined Magnum Photos, the renowned international photographic agency, in 1958. Among his projects over the next few years were "The Clown," "Brooklyn Gang," and then a visual record of the civil rights movement for which he earned a Guggenheim Fellowship and a solo exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.
In 1966, Davidson was awarded the first grant for photography from the National Endowment for the Arts. His images are housed in the permanent collections of MOMA New York, the Smithsonian Institution, and George Eastman House. He lives in New York City.
